Posters dealing with safety and health protection of man in the working environment.

Three prizes and honorary mentions are awarded in the competition, with additional royalties for poster selected for printing.

Post-competition exhibitions take place in Warszawa, Kraków and Łódź. A catalogue with exhibited poster is always published. In April 2006, another competition will be held, this time on "Young workers - safe start". The Institute will continue to organize it.

The objective of the Institute's publishing activity is:

• to present the results of research on occupational safety and ergonomics
• to create social awareness of occupational hazards and to provide scientific
• to popularise of ways and solutions eliminating or reducing causes and effects

STER - the computer system supporting safety and health management

STER is a product of the Polish National Strategic Programme "Safety and Protection of Man in the Working Environment".

STER was developed in the Central Institute for Labour Protection in 1997 and now it is systematically upgraded in step with OSH technical progress, changes in OSH – related legislation and special user needs.
