About us

CANIS Safety a.s. is purely Czech company - leading Czech importer, producer and distributor of personal safety work-apparel and tools ensuring security and health protection during work.

The company dates to 1993, when it was established by brothers Jaromir and Jiri Rataj as an association of two physical persons. In 2003, we became stock company CANIS SAFETY a.s.

We currently employ over 300 employees, of which 25 are disabled, who work within the affiliated company CANIS PLUS s.r.o. for the purpose of providing compensatory fulfillment according to the law on the employment of disabled persons.

Our sales strategy is focused on both retail and wholesale. We have a network of sales branches all over the Czech Republic (Ostrava, Olomouc, Brno, Jihlava, Praha, Liberec, Jablonec n. N., Ústí n. L.), sales branches in Slovakia (Košice, Bratislava) and wholesale directly from the central logistic grounds in Petrvald with over 10.000 sqm of storage space.

We benefit from our own long-term experience with the direct import of good from Asian countries. We develop and produce our own line of work-clothing, such as LUX, ORION, WAITOMO, VENATOR, shoes STONE, DOG, ROAD, ISLAND and respirators SPIRO. We're the authorized distributor of several prestigious European brands, such as 3M, Ansell, Mapa, Dupont, Infield, NO RISK, SAD and the exclusive distributor of work shoes BATA Industrials. All this is supplemented by our own custom production of work-clothing and custom printing according to the customers' wishes.

Annually we confirm the quality system by EN ISO 9001:2001 certification.
