COOLINE Suspenders

The innovative suspenders supplied by Lion make use of the innovative COOLINE technology and provide an intelligent exposure management for use in extreme conditions combined with complete wearing comfort. The COOLINE cooling system when it is activated provides a cooling effect which is dependent upon the individual external and body temperatures. COOLINE relieves and supports the body's own cooling system in preventive form and protects the body from overheating by means of active cooling. Simultaneously, it can prevent a drop in performance and concentration.

PUDOTS® Thermal And Moisture Barrier

Lion Apparel has further developed its own patented "Silicone Spacer Dots" technology. The silicone spacers applied in the textile to a Nomex fleece, for example, are replaced by spacers of PU foam resistant to high temperatures. The effect of this "air cushion insulation" is thus enhanced by the marked inlets in the PU foam. The lighter material provides a pleasant feeling when worn and weight has been reduced by more than 20%.

Perforated Reflective Strips

Ca. 27 % of the surface of a fireman's protective jacket is covered by reflective strips. In previous models – as opposed to outer material and lining – these were not water vapor permeable and correspondingly had a marked negative effect on the positive effect of the good moisture barriers (membranes). Sweat cannot escape outwards under the standard reflex strips, and moisture can thus be transferred in greater volume to the skin, increasing the danger of scalding under certain conditions.

Perforated Reflective Strips – more Safety!

This danger is greatly reduced by means of the new perforated reflective strips as the sweat can now escape outwards. You, too, can order the water vapor permeable reflective strips when compiling the scope of performance for your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and thus increase the safety of your firefighting colleagues in action!
