Fire Protection / Disaster Management

Our partner Werkfeuerwehrverband Deutschland (Works Fire Brigade Association Germany) and the Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe (BBK) will present themselves in hall 6 stand C41 and on October 20, 2011 a special seminar in german language will take place with the title ""Schutz kritischer Infrastrukturen für Unternehmen und Institutionen".

Despite operational security management and preventive action emergencies cannot always be prevented. Industrial accidents can develop into disasters and natural disasters and criminal offences down to terrorist attacks constitute great potential hazards for employees, plants and other company assets. In the event of accidents of this extraordinary dimension the tasks and activities of a company’s security management must be optimally coordinated with those of law enforcement, fire brigades, authorities and disaster relief organisations (in Germany e.g. Bundesanstalt Technisches Hilfswerk THW).

Visitor response to the “Disaster Relief Forum” including live demonstrations of first response and rescue measures as part of A+A 2009 were very positive prompting the organisers to extend the ranges to include disaster relief as an integral part of the fair. In addition to sharing knowledge and holding presentations with cooperation partners THW, WFV and the Federal Department of Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (BBK) exhibitors at A+A 2011 will show and introduce special equipment for emergency medicine, technical aids, ABC protection, decontamination and operations control, alarm and information technology. 20 October 2011 will see a themed Disaster Relief Day as part of the A+A Congress.
